The field note

What we brought home.

We traced a route along the Mediterranean coast, from Greece up the Albanian Riviera, around Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor, along the Croatian coast, and across the water to Italy. Five shores, one sea, and a notebook that smelled of salt by the end. Every stretch left us with an idea. Thyme from the sun-baked Greek hillsides, sage and bay from the Albanian cliffs, rose in Montenegro, rosemary on the Dalmatian stone, lemons from the Italian coast. These places inspired the botanicals that shape Five Shores — a bright, herbal, sea-breezy gin built for long lunches that turn into evenings.
